What is the context of the Y-PEP program?

  • 48% of young people under the age of 15 have witnessed or heard domestic abuse

  • Since the age of 15 one in three Australian women and one in two men have experienced physical violence 

  • 2/3 of teenagers have experienced or know someone who has been affected by online bullying 

  • Family violence mostly affects women and children

Did you know that;

  • One in three children in Australia have concerns about their safety at school?

  • Domestic and family violence affects children’s physical and mental well-being, development and schooling, and is the leading cause of children’s homelessness in Australia?
